Why standing seam?

Vertical seams are raised above the water plane and there are no fastener penetrations through the field of the roof. The result is a roof that simply doesn't leak — even after decades of ice damming and hail.

Stone-coated steel

A pressed steel panel finished with stone granules — the look of a shake or slate roof with the durability of metal. A great option for homeowners who want longevity without the industrial look.

Energy performance

Reflective metal finishes cut cooling loads in summer and shed snow load in winter. Many colours qualify for ENERGY STAR® ratings and utility rebates.

Solar-ready

Standing seam is the only roof material where solar panels clamp directly to the seams — no penetrations required. If solar is even a 10-year possibility, metal is the smart substrate.

Frequently Asked

Is a metal roof loud in the rain?

No — with a solid deck and underlayment beneath, a standing seam roof is no louder than an asphalt roof. That perception comes from unfinished barn roofs with no attic below.

Will it dent from hail?

26-gauge steel resists dents from typical hail. Very large hail can leave cosmetic marks on softer 24-gauge panels but almost never causes leaks.

How much more does metal cost vs shingles?

Typically 2–3× the cost of architectural shingles up front — but with a 50+ year lifespan, it's usually cheaper per year of service.
